I received two new DvD's in the mail yesterday from Mark for my birthday. The first DvD is the Happiness of the Katakuris (Katakuri-ke no kôfuku) and the second one is a "Double Feature" DvD containing The Blind Swordsman: Zatoichi and Sonatine (Beat Takeshi). Im looking forward to watching them and giving a report to Goronya-go but lately I have been really busy with work and school so they will rest on top of my DvD player for now.
When I was in Osaka, Japan the DvD release of Zatoichi was huge and I saw them for sale quite often in the store front. In the picture above you can get a glimpse of it on display (bottom right) along with a kid playing Mario on the Gamcube. Overall though I think the DvD's in Japan are way to expensive to buy, but I did see a lot of interesting ones.
Today Firefox 1.0 was released! This is the first non beta release of the advanced browser after the team has spent substantial amounts of time developing it. Over eight million people have already downloaded the program including myself. I have been using the browser for a long time and it has been nothing but awesome. Firefox does not subject you to all of the spyware and virus links that Internet Explorer (IE) is swamped with since it does not support Microsoft's ActiveX technology. In short: Firefox is a small, fast, and highly customizable program; which offers multi tabbed browsing, pop-up blocking, and overall better security. If you have firefox already make sure you download the new one and if you haven't tried it before now is definitely the time plus you can import all of your old links from your current browser so you don't lose anything! Firefox is developed by the Mozilla team which is a non profit organization offering a wide range of open source programs free to the public. There has also been talk of a potential future partnership between Google and Mozilla. This rumor was recently reinforced since the firefox start page (which you can change in your settings) is hosted by Google and features a large Google search icon and links in the center of the page. This rumor of Mozilla and Google working on a new browser has been denied by both companies but it will be interesting to see if there are any future developments.

I saw this on television a few days ago on the Daily Show with Jon Stewart. In it Jon Stewart comments on Bush wanting to reach out to the people who voted for his opponent. Thanks to Blogitics.com for the video link.

I am actually, despite public opinion, capable of cooking some things. Above you can see the pizza I made, however I did buy the dough. Below that you can see the Cheesecake pie I made a few months ago for Chika's birthday. The pictures are old so you can cease from imagining that they are sitting in my refrigerator growing new forms of life. The pizza was pretty good although it was not exactly my best work. The cheesecake Pie was quite tasty but it was very rich in flavor. The best bake good I have ever made would probably be my oatmeal walnut cookies. I didn't get a picture of them but they were much better than any cookie I have had at a bakery before in my assessment. If you are laughing at me for baking right now consider this.. I have tasty cookies and such while you don't.
