Seven Samurai

I have seen Seven Samurai before but yesterday I finished watching it on DVD. I had got the re-mastered DVD from my father as a birthday present last year. The subtitles are much better and the film seems overall much more clear than the one I had seen on TV, Bravo. The story itself seems almost different than the first time I watched it so many small and humorous things in the film that I guess one can easily miss. I don't think I have ever seen such a complete film. It just feels so completely satisfying after watching it, really an epic film to this day that many films don't come close to. Anyways I just wanted to sing its praise, and if you have not seen this film yet you really must do so because it is very amazing. Don't get confused with this film and the Last samurai, there is no American cowboy running contradicting himself in this one.

Cleaning the corners

Chika and I have had our apartment now for a little while now and I think its coming along nicely. Mostly we just need to get some shelves hang up a couple more pictures and we will be set. We lost our vacuum bags in the move so sadly we have a vacuum but we cant use it. Last week we got married and it rained for two days, I consider it to be good luck though. We have been really busy lately and haven't had a chance to really celebrate too much.

We have our computer set up in our apartment but sadly no internet yet though. Hopefully we can get something set up soon but for now the website will still be on hold sort of..

Im looking forward to when school starts again, the long summer month are becoming too mundane.
